We constantly craft idealized images of ourselves, seeking attention and affirmation, during this zeitgeist of ours, reigned by a social media frenzy that permeates every single aspect of our lives. The imagery authenticity no longer matters. What obsess us is how everyone else perceives us.
&nbsp;
Selfish Selfie jumps right into the middle of this exciting cauldron. Local maverick choreographer, Alexis Kam, freely explores with her creative team the merge of drama, physical movement and artificial intelligence, bravely developing a brand-new theatrical idiom.
&nbsp;
Let&rsquo;s step into this narcissistic, yet occasionally absurd world, witnessing the distortion and rebirth of various personas. Will we distinguish reality from virtuality? Are we mere observers, or co-creators of these new identities? When the self is veiled, when truth and lies are blurred, what does it says about our times? Come explore, we might well reach an exciting epiphany!
